Adam El Sharkawy, whose real name is Mahmoud Khaled El Sharkawy, was born on July 23, 1994, in the Republic of Egypt to Egyptian parents. He hails from a middle-class family with roots tracing back to Kafr El-Sheikh Governorate. His father, Khaled, is a doctor specializing in criminal law, and Adam is the middle child among his three brothers.
As a young boy, Adam left Egypt with his parents for California, United States. During his childhood, he attended John Robert School of Acting, where he was given the name Adam at the tender age of ten. This marked the beginning of his journey in the world of acting.
Upon turning 18, Adam decided to shorten his last name to "Adam Elshar". After completing his education, he began attending various acting workshops, including those led by renowned acting coach Lauren Patrice Nadler. It was in 2018 that Adam took a significant step towards pursuing a career in acting, starting with a role in a short independent film.
Adam's breakthrough came when he played the role of Ziad, also known as Big Zee, in the Egyptian TV series Newton's Cradle, which premiered in 2021. This role earned him recognition within the industry, solidifying his position as a talented young actor.
