Abigail Kathleen Breslin is a talented actress born in New York City, New York, to Kim and Michael Breslin, a telecommunications expert and consultant. She has two siblings, Ryan Breslin and Spencer Breslin, who is also an actor. Her parents are of Irish, Austrian Jewish, and English descent.
Abigail began her acting career at a young age and is widely recognized for her role in the critically-acclaimed film Little Miss Sunshine. She received a Best Actress Award from the Tokyo International Film Festival and was nominated for an Academy Award, SAG, and BAFTA Best Supporting Actress awards. Her performance earned her the title of ShoWest's "Female Star of Tomorrow" in 2008.

She starred in the Lionsgate film Maggie, opposite Arnold Schwarzenegger, about a teenage girl from a small town in the Midwest who becomes infected by a disease that slowly turns her into a zombie. The film premiered at the 2015 Tribeca Film Festival and was released on May 8, 2015.
In addition to her acting career, Abigail Breslin is a writer and has published her first book, "This May Sound Crazy", through Harper Collins in October 2015. The book is based on her popular Tumblr "Mixtapes & Winter Coats", in which she writes honest, funny, and emotional observations on her daily life as a young adult.
