In 1930s New Orleans, a beautiful courtesan named Hallie is the center of attention at the Doll House, a luxurious brothel. Her life is turned upside down by the arrival of Dove Linkhorn, her long-lost love, who is determined to win her back. However, when Linkhorn discovers Hallie's profession, a chain of events unfolds, involving a cast of characters, including a young woman named Kitty, who has just joined the Doll House.
