Two sisters, Jane and Edie, are released from a county detention home and begin working as prostitutes at a series of motels, under the guidance of a pimp named Tap Mason. They are tasked with flagging down wealthy men and persuading them to spend the night at the motels. However, things take a turn when Jane's first client, Rocky Stone, discovers that she is involved in more than just flagging cars. Mason steals a large sum of jewels from Rocky's car, and Rocky's search for Jane leads him to discover the truth about her job. The sisters' lives become increasingly complicated as they are forced to confront the harsh realities of their situation, and Jane ultimately turns to Rocky for help in seeking revenge against Mason.
