Walter, a quiet and guarded man, is released from prison after 12 years and starts anew in an unnamed city. He finds solace in Vickie, a tough-talking woman who accepts him for who he is. However, his past as a convicted sex offender continues to haunt him, leading to fear, suspicion, and danger from those around him.
