The Last Great Circus Flyer

A retired trapeze artist recounts his illustrious circus career, uncovering the surprising events that prompted his abrupt exit from the aerial arts.

Miguel Vazquez, a renowned trapeze performer, made headlines in 1982 by achieving the first quadruple somersault in performance, a feat described as "the greatest in all of circus history". He and his family, "The Flying Vazquez", headlined premier circuses in the US and Europe for 15 years. However, in 1994, Miguel unexpectedly stopped flying, never to perform the quadruple somersault again. The film explores the past and present lives of the Vazquez family, examining the dangers and tragedies that often accompany the lives of circus performers.
