Two outlaws, Amos and Theodore, try to strike out on their own, but their misadventures quickly unfold in a small town. They accidentally capture the town's famous lawman, Wooly Bill Hitchcock, sparking his pursuit of them. Accused of bank robbery, they join the Army, only to set the fort ablaze. Meanwhile, the Army struggles to protect their supplies from a mysterious thief.
