A 12-year-old boy, Andy Nichol, is forced to work on a project with the school's outcast, Stanley, also known as "Big G", by their teacher, Mr. Simon. Despite initial reservations, Andy learns that Stanley is a kind, decent, and brilliant person who has more dignity than anyone he has ever met.
