Jon and Vince, two friends from high school, reunite in a seedy motel room in Lansing, Michigan. Jon has invited Vince to celebrate his latest movie's screening at the local film festival, but Vince's life has taken a different path, dealing drugs and struggling with immaturity. As they catch up, Vince's substance use becomes more apparent, and his true intentions with Jon are revealed. The evening takes a dramatic turn with the arrival of Amy, another friend from high school, now an Assistant D.A. in Lansing, who was involved in a past issue that still affects their relationships.
