A grizzled Army Sergeant Major, Zack Carey, is nearing the end of his military career and is disillusioned with the state of the base. He ventures off-base to grab a beer, only to be confronted by a local prostitute and her abusive pimp. When Zack intervenes, the corrupt Sheriff sees it as an attack on him and targets Zack and his family. The Army stands by Zack, but the Sheriff retaliates by framing Zack's son for drug charges and sending him to a prison farm. With no other options, Zack takes matters into his own hands, commandeering his vintage Sherman Tank to break his son out and expose the Sheriff's corruption.
