In this movie, a young girl named Cookie and her brother escape their unhappy home life in the countryside and find themselves in New York City. At the train station, Cookie meets a charismatic man named Duke who woos her with his charm and soon convinces her to become a prostitute. However, as she becomes more entrenched in the lifestyle, she is horrified by Duke's cruel treatment of the other women involved.
