An abandoned asylum is being used as a film set for a movie based on 1970s murders. Despite being shut down after a doctor's snuff film scandal, the crew discovers a hidden room containing the doctor's previously unknown recordings. While the crew is disturbed by the content, they choose not to report it to the authorities. The film's director becomes increasingly unhinged, convinced that their movie isn't gruesome enough.
