In the late 1970s, Australian teenager Sue navigates a culture where conformity and social norms dictate her every move. She spends her days watching the popular surfing boys and engaging in casual sex with them. The girls in her circle are bound by strict customs, including avoiding intimacy and bodily functions in front of boys.
