Melinda takes a break from school to pay for her grandma's hospital bills, but a hit-and-run accident leaves her permanently paralyzed. As her grandma's health declines, they discover a life-saving surgery, but Melinda can't work as much with her new disability. She joins forces with friends Daniel and Jamie, and Pastor David, to raise funds for the surgery. Along the way, Melinda learns to put her faith in Christ, while Daniel seeks to reconnect with his abusive father, who has turned his life around.
