A playboy's careless error sets off a chain reaction, destroying a respected doctor's reputation. In a bid to make things right, he wins over the doctor's grieving widow, only to discover that he's fallen deeply in love with her.

A spoiled rich man, Bob Merrick, learns the value of selflessness after he causes the death of a local hero, Dr. Phillips, who gave his life to help others. Merrick becomes determined to make amends and win the heart of Phillips' widow, Helen, by redoing his life and pursuing a new path in medicine.
