After Kurt Cobain's death, a documentary film crew arrives in Seattle to investigate the circumstances surrounding his passing. Director Nick Broomfield conducts in-depth interviews with numerous individuals close to Cobain and his widow Courtney Love, including his aunt, estranged father, private investigator, nanny, and friends, to piece together a portrait of the troubled rockstar.
