Two brothers, Geoff and Rich, have been locked in a lifelong competition for love, success, and love. While Rich always seems to get the upper hand, Geoff is left to struggle in his shadow. But when a freak accident befalls their family, Geoff turns to a mysterious backwoods cult rumored to possess supernatural powers. Despite the cult's bumbling efforts, their ritual initially solves the problem, but soon unleashes a dark and sinister force on their quiet Midwestern town.
