All the Fine Young Cannibals

A pregnant woman leaves her Texas roots behind to marry a Yale scholar, but her life takes a dramatic turn when she reunites with her former lover, now a famous musician, in the bustling city of New York.

In a small Texas town, a minister's death sparks a chain of events as his son Chad, who is struggling with unemployment and a troubled future, is left without a sense of purpose. Meanwhile, Salome, who is pregnant with Chad's child, decides to leave town and embark on a new journey. On the train, she meets Tony, a young and wealthy individual, who is headed back to Yale University. The two soon marry, but Salome keeps her past a secret, including her pregnancy and her relationship with Chad. As the story unfolds, Salome's sister-in-law Catherine, who is also wealthy and bored with her life, moves in with the couple, causing tension in their relationship.
