A group of leatherback turtles, including Sammy and Ray, are enjoying life on an atoll when they're caught by a poacher and taken to Dubai to be part of an aquarium show. The kingpin of the aquarium, Big D the seahorse, enlists them in his plans for a great escape, but the turtles hatch their own plan with the help of new friends. Meanwhile, two young hatchlings, Ricky and Ella, set out to rescue their friends.
