Mark, a struggling actor, lives with his paraplegic brother and his girlfriend Sally, who is eager to end their relationship. His life is marked by missed auditions, evaded rent payments, and awkward conversations with his upstairs neighbor Pearce. Mark's apartment is in shambles, with broken windows, falling plaster, and flickering lights.
