Morgan and Catherine "Kit" Norvell are set to embark on a year-long sailing adventure to Malta, where they plan to rebuild an old hotel on their newly purchased property. However, their plans are disrupted when they meet Gil and Ronnie, who beg to join them on their boat for a few days. As the four spend time together, the Norvells realize it was a grave mistake to invite them aboard.
