A group of friends embark on a renovation project in an old house purchased by Mark, but their endeavor takes a dark turn when they discover the grave of the former owner, Annabelle, in the backyard. Unbeknownst to them, Annabelle's malevolent spirit is awakened after Bob carelessly destroys her headstone. As the friends try to flee, they find themselves trapped in the house, which seems to have a mind of its own, determined to keep them from escaping the clutches of the vengeful Annabelle.
