Pam, a 17-year-old high school student, becomes pregnant out of wedlock and is too ashamed to return to school. She gets a job as a receptionist for a talent agent and is seduced by a rock star at a party. This sets off a downward spiral of partying, free love, and drug use. Pam's life becomes increasingly chaotic as she becomes friends with a hooker and a drug addict, and her relationships with them lead to a series of crises.
