The film follows a group of urban Native Americans in Los Angeles over the course of 12 hours, from late afternoon to dawn. The story centers around Yvonne, a pregnant woman, and her husband Homer, who leaves her to go out with his friends. The men engage in bar hopping, poker, and other activities, while Yvonne spends the night at home, reflecting on her life and dreams. As the night wears on, the men pick up women, fights break out, and camaraderie is formed. Meanwhile, Homer reflects on the differences between city and reservation life.
