In April 1990, the music scene in Seattle is on the cusp of breaking nationwide, but in Tempe, Arizona, a scene is also ready to explode. Hote, dissatisfied with his stuck existence, his faltering band, and the impending summer heat, decides to leave town. His car is packed and he's ready to go, but a series of unexpected events keeps him in Tempe for three days. During this time, he dates a previously unattainable love interest, gets into a fight with his best friend, and plays a dream gig at a large music venue. As he navigates these ups and downs, Hote gets closer to achieving his passion for creating the perfect rock song.
