In a dystopian 2024 Los Angeles, COVID-23 has ravaged the city with a 56% mortality rate, confining most people to their homes. Among the few immune individuals is Nico, a courier who navigates the desolate streets on his bike, delivering packages and facing hostility from those who cannot leave their homes. Despite having a girlfriend, all communication is limited to cellphones. Meanwhile, the Department of Sanitation forcibly collects infected individuals and their non-immune family members, sending them to the feared quarantine zones, known as Q zones, where death is almost certain.
