A young man, Appu, is adopted by a wealthy couple and raised in Australia. Despite his privileged upbringing, he remains humble. Tragedy strikes when his adoptive family is killed in a plane crash, leaving him devastated. He returns to his childhood orphanage, now an old-age home, where he discovers that elderly people are often treated as burdens by their children.
