An 18-year-old Moroccan girl, Layla, struggles with the increasing suspicion towards girls with headscarves and boys with beards in Amsterdam. She joins a group of Muslims fighting for their practice of Islam, posts online films depicting Syrian and Gaza horrors, and flirts with charismatic Abdel. After her peaceful brother's arrest, Layla leaves home, choosing marriage with Abdel and performing "missionary work" to raise funds.
