In 1930s America, a troubled youth becomes fixated on a devout Catholic girl, only to find his all-consuming passion for her spiraling into destructive and violent outbursts.

In 1930s Okayama, Kiroku attends high school and lives with a Catholic family, where he falls for their daughter Michiko. He must keep his feelings hidden and channel his energy into joining a gang, breaking school rules, and getting into fights.
