Citizen Oketch is a film about people struggling to overcome the hardships of life in Kibera, one of East Africa's largest slums, while also showcasing joy, friendship, and love. For two and a half years, the directors followed the life of George Oketch and Esther Okonyo as they raised their kids, fought to overcome disease and poverty, and maintained a loving relationship despite being from different tribes and facing opposition from their families.
