A former British Admiralty officer, Francis Barclay, seeks revenge against his captor Andrew MacAllister, who sold him into slavery and forced him into piracy. With the help of Dick Lindsay, Barclay plans to invade MacAllister's heavily fortified island. However, their mission is complicated by the fact that Dick falls in love with MacAllister's daughter, Christine, and the true identities of the two men's relationships are revealed.
