Agadez, the Music and the Rebellion background

Agadez, the Music and the Rebellion

Tuareg nomads have spent centuries traversing the Sahara Desert, bridging the cultural gap between North Africa and West Africa through their camel caravans.

A young Tuareg musician, Omara Moctar, also known as 'Bambino', has become a cult hero in Niger, representing a new generation of Tuareg. He is a skilled guitar player and has recently returned to his hometown, Agadez, a remote center of Tuareg culture, after years of exile.
