Werckmeister Harmonies

On the Hungarian Plain, a small town is gripped by bitter cold weather without snow. Despite the harsh conditions, hundreds of people gather around the circus trailer in the main square, drawn to the main attraction: a stuffed whale carcass. The townspeople come from far and wide, and the unusual spectacle attracts outsiders, disrupting the town's usual order. Ambitious individuals see an opportunity to take advantage of the situation, and tensions build towards a breaking point. The arrival of a mysterious Prince, pretending to be faceless, sparks destructive emotions, bringing the situation to a head.
