Simon, a 20-year-old university student, joins the rowing team to fit in, but his life takes a turn when he participates in a student sit-in protesting the university's alleged anti-black and pro-war stance. He becomes more deeply involved with the protesters, partly to get to know Linda, a like-minded activist he's paired with. As the protests continue, Simon must navigate his loyalties between the rowing team and the cause, and decide if his commitment is genuine or solely to Linda.
