In San Francisco, a film director named Logan is rejected by three bankers, but later secures a loan from a banker named Fenton. He convinces her to work on his film project, but she agrees only because she knows Logan cannot hurt her. Meanwhile, a television commentator named Jackson Sinclair becomes fixated on Suzanne, and Lee's behavior becomes increasingly erratic.
