In this western film, a U.S. Marshal named Nevada Jack McKenzie stops a runaway stagecoach and discovers the driver dead and his helper severely injured, with the gold shipment stolen. Meanwhile, John Corbett, the owner of a saloon and leader of an outlaw gang, attempts to secure the express company franchise by pretending to sympathize with the current holder, Jane Burns. Corbett's plan involves manipulating the mine owners into supporting him, while also causing trouble for Nevada and his partner, Sandy Hopkins.
