Alex Rogan, a resident of a remote trailer court, defeats a popular arcade game, Starfighter, only to be denied a student loan for college. Depressed, he meets Centauri, who reveals himself as a representative of the game's company. Alex is soon transported to space in a sports car, where he's tasked with using his gaming skills to combat an intergalactic invasion. Initially hesitant, Alex becomes the galaxy's only hope after all pilots are killed and he must defeat the invaders to claim his life back.
