In the city of Los Angeles, Cosmo Vitelli runs a popular strip joint called the Crazy Horse West. A seasoned gambler, he's struggling to pay off a large debt, which is compounded by his poor luck at the poker table. As he's pursued by his creditors, they propose a drastic solution to wipe out his debt: killing a Chinese bookie. Amidst the chaos of double-crossing and murder, Vitelli finds solace in his relationships with the dancers, a dancer's mother, and the club's singer, Mr. Sophistication.
