A former veteran struggles to readjust to life in his hometown, only to be swayed by a Ku Klux Klan recruiter. After participating in raids and witnessing the devastating consequences, including burned homes and a friend's murder, he is filled with horror and remorse. He cooperates with the State prosecutor to take down the Klan and seek redemption.
