Two Canadian youths, Alphie and Bibi, travel to the US to compete in the 1994 Worldvision Song Festival, only to be outmaneuvered by favored competitors backed by a powerful music label. Despite their disappointment, they're thrilled when the label's leader offers them a recording deal, but soon uncover the seedy side of the music industry.
