A woman, diagnosed with a tumor by a charismatic preacher, undergoes a bizarre transformation when she vomits up a mysterious spore. The spore, capable of growth, takes the form of a carnivorous creature, and soon the woman's son becomes its host, driven to brutally murder people to feed the spreading spores.
