In a small town in South Jutland, a troubled cop named Robert is sent to work after a mistake. He discovers the local bully, Jørgen, is abusing his wife, an outsider like Robert. As Robert tries to help the woman, he finds himself drawn to her, but things become complicated when a murder occurs and the prime suspect is innocent.
