Star of India

A battle-weary warrior returns to his ancestral estate in 17th-century France, only to find it has been confiscated and purchased by a wealthy Dutch aristocrat.

Pierre St. Laurent, a French nobleman, returns from war to find his estate seized by the governor, Narbonne, and sold to a Dutch Countess named Katrina. To regain his property, Pierre agrees to help Katrina obtain the "Star of India," a valuable sapphire, which is currently held by Narbonne. The Dutch government wants the sapphire returned to its Indian worshippers to maintain peace.
