Twice a year, the Italian city of Siena goes wild for the oldest horse race in the world, the Palio. Strategy, bribery, and corruption play a significant role alongside the riders' skill. Horses are randomly allocated four days before the race, marking the beginning of the chaos. Legendary rider Gigi Bruschelli, accused of monopolizing the race, will do anything to win, while his former trainee, Giovanni Atzeni, a young Sardinian, seeks to challenge his mentor and ride for the love of the race.
