Mr. Pip

On a deserted island, Mr. Watts, the last white man, establishes a school and teaches the children about the classic novel "Great Expectations". The story resonates with Matilda, a teenage narrator, who finds solace in the tale of a Victorian orphan as her own world unravels. However, the impending arrival of the Redskins, an army seeking to crush the local rebels, sets off a chain of events. Matilda's innocent act of writing "Pip" in the sand inadvertently puts the character in the crosshairs of the Redskins, who mistake him for a rebel leader and demand his capture.
