In a remote Kazakh village, Mariam lives with her family in a home without basic amenities. When her husband vanishes without a trace, Mariam is left to fend for herself and her children, as she cannot receive government support without a body. As she struggles to survive, she undergoes a transformative experience. However, her husband's sudden return disrupts her new life, and he expects everything to go back to normal.
