Todd Lucas, a young musician, moves to Los Angeles in 1985 to pursue his passion for smooth R&B music. He teams up with BJ Fairchild, a confident but struggling musician from The Valley, and together they chase their big dreams. Their best friend, Gina Marie, gets them a break, and they become R&B's most mediocre duo, Eternity.
