An ex-loanshark collector tries to leave his crime family business after his mother and daughter are killed as a warning. He is then hired by a desperate woman searching for her granddaughter, and takes on a different type of job, but gets no luck and is set up to get hurt. Feeling unsure if the kidnap really happened, he eventually finds the little girl, relieving some of the guilt felt responsible for his family's death and redeeming part of his past.
