Don Dohler, a mild-mannered filmmaker, has been making sci-fi and horror films since 1976 in the Baltimore area. Despite criticism, his films have been distributed internationally and in TV syndication. Dohler has inspired artists and filmmakers with his underground comix character ProJunior and DIY filmmaking magazine, Cinemagic. He has made wholesome films, but recently added nudity and gore to please distributors. At 59, he's finished his most explicit film yet, but feels "sick of the exploitative stuff" and may stop making such films.
