The film tells the story of Julia Brystiger, a ruthless Stalinist criminal known as "Bloody Luna", who tortured prisoners during interrogations. In the early 1960s, she arrives at the Institute for the Blind in Laski, near Warsaw, where she encounters Cardinal Stefan Wyszynski, who was previously imprisoned by her.
